The building has nearly 12,000 square feet of ground- floor retail space and 181 resident-only parking spaces. The building is targeting LEED Silver certification . The groundbreaking ceremony for the building was held in September of 2016. First occupancy is slated for the summer of 2018. Jupiter Realty is the developer with Pappageorge Haymes as the architecture firm and Power Construction as the general contractor. A Los Angeles- based investment group has spent roughly $94 million over the past nine months on two large apartment developments in Waterford Lakes, and is on the hunt for more in that area to boost synergies, the company's general counsel told GrowthSpotter . PRG Fund LP , which owns a portfolio of office buildings in Los Angeles County , began venturing into apartment building acquisitions within the past year. The company made its second purchase in Greater Orlando on Aug. 13, with the 364- unit Victoria Place Apartments  near Waterford Lakes Town Center for $50.13 million, or $138,000 per unit. Lake+Forest A joint partnership between Wood Partners, LLC and Chicago-based Golub & Company recently broke ground on a 1.6-acre, 270- unit luxury rental community in Oak Park, Ill. Lake + Forest consists of a 21-story, 240,000-square- foot building located on Forest Ave. in the suburban village of Oak Park, and is designed by award- winning architecture firm Gensler . The building will occupy the site of a former city- owned parking structure , according to a news release. Lake + Forest will feature 124 one-bedroom units, 106 two-bedroom units, roughly 25,000 square feet of retail and office space facing Lake Street , as well as 288 private and 300 public parking spaces . I just finished my all-new DAVOS portfolio that includes the following best-in-class REITs: Digital Realty (DLR), American Tower (AMT), Ventas, Inc. (VTR), Realty Income (O), and Simon Property Group (SPG). As a reminder, the DAVOS REITs were picked because of their high-quality attributes and most importantly for their dividend repeatability. While these REITs do not represent all of my favorite picks, they embody a diversified basket that serve as a proxy for robust dividend growth in the REIT sector.
