Neighbors meeting neighbors is the goal of Sunshine Suppers on the Road with meals at Rolling Prairie and the Sun Prairie Fire Department coming during the next few weeks. After hearing about the first Suppers on the Road held at Hamilton Place apartments , Rolling Prairie resident leaders thought it would make sense for their community. A free hot nutritious meal will be served, there will be games for kids, and adults can hang out and talk with other Rolling Prairie residents . PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Imagine you're a landlord going to examine your property after a longtime tenant moves out - and finding it destroyed. That's what a couple in Portland says happened to them on August 10. Normally landlord-tenant arguments would not be newsworthy - but in this case, it involves taxpayer dollars . The tenant was on Section 8 housing and renting through the Portland Housing Authority . Missing screens, broken windows, grease, animal urine, doors ripped off the hinges cigarette burns on the floor - this is just some of the damage you can find at 44 Sawyer Street, owned by landlords Paul and Cyndi Taylor. The Rhinelander City Council spent little time Monday paying a number of bills related to now- completed streetscape project , and approving a request from the golf course advisory committee to hire an outside consultant to evaluate Northwood Golf Course at a cost of $10,000, but the proposal with the lowest price tag - $230 to light the alley between 28 and 38 North Brown Street - prompted a long debate. Ultimately, the council voted to light the alley for one year, at a cost not to exceed $230, but the vote was not unanimous. The situation with the alley was previously discussed at the July 25 public safety committee meeting . Interim city administrator Keith Kost brought the idea forward after Downtown Rhinelander Inc. (DRI) previously suggested installing lighting in the alley because revelers from nearby bars frequently use it as a place to illegally relieve themselves. Police said Conner Lucas was intoxicated when he stabbed two fellow homeless men — one in the hand, the other in the neck — on August 9. Within 24 hours, Madeiros had gotten a knife of his own, for protection. He has no plans to use it, he said, but, "Of course, I'm nervous." He's not alone. These are the first projects that Boca Raton-developer Mario Caprini wants to build as part of an ambitious $70 million complex dubbed Northwood Common s, on a 3.5- acre parcel owned by the West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency . Can Caprini get the job done? His company’s website lists his prior development work in Canada and Ohio, including 1,000 residential units, 5 million square feet of industrial parks and “hundreds of thousands” of square feet of office, retail and medical buildings.
