Streetscapes/Sutton Place, Sutton Place South and One Sutton Place North; A Prestigious Enclave With a Name in Question

It is known that Sutton ran a clipper ship line to the California coast in the 1850's that served Gold Rush hopefuls , and that he lived on West 29th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues (a block that was also called Lamartine Place and was set apart from the rest of the city's street grid because of separate numbering). In 1875 a consortium of developers that included James Stokes , William Dodge and D. Willis James began to acquire property on Avenue A in the East 50's, on what is now called Sutton Place . Deed patterns suggest that they were working with a builder, Andrew Kerwin, who in 1879 put up the original Sutton Place enclave , 24 single-family brownstones on the block bounded by 58th and 59th Streets and Avenue A and the East River. Half of them faced the avenue and half faced a new street along the river briefly named Riverview Terrace . A few of those houses survive in recognizable form, three stories high with a stoop. Captain's Mast The following is from the journals of the Seward Police Department . Those who have been arrested or summoned are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Aug. 9 0121 - The night auditor from the Hotel Seward reported AK/LIC JDV548 with its lights on across the street and wanted to make sure that the vehicle owner was not having a problem. Officer found no one in the car. 0131 - RP reported that subject died at Fifth Avenue. Officer responded and notified the Medical Examiner as there was not a comfort one or advanced directive in place. The medical examiner released the body to the family. Aug. 12 1604 - RP found a wallet containing debit cards, from different people, a social security card and a driver’s license near the Chamber of Commerce. Tampa-based multifamily investor pays $16.5M for 2nd Orlando apt complex

Blue Rock Partners , a Tampa-based firm that sold three Orlando- area apartment complexes last year, paid $16.5 million in late June to rebuild its Orlando portfolio with the 215- unit Royal Oaks Apartments on N. Pine Hills Road . Blue Rock bought the property through affiliate Rock Rose Partners Royal Oaks LP  on June 26, with the  deed recorded Friday in Orange County. The property is being renamed The Park at Collington, in line with the company’s habit of naming multifamily assets  after English towns and landmarks. The seller was Focus JCR Orlando MF Investors II LLC , an affiliate of The Focus Group , a California- based real estate investment , development and management group which previously paid $9.6 million in December 2014.  Blue Rock plans to spend $1.7 million on interior and exterior renovations at the complex, which was built in 1992. CBRE SL Green sells suburban office property for $97M SL Green and TH Real Estate have sold Stamford Towers in Stamford, CT for $97 million. Jeffrey Dunne, David Gavin and Travis Langer of CBRE’s Institutional Properties represented the sellers. CBRE Global Investors purchased the Property. Stamford Towers is comprised of two adjacent Class A office buildings located in the Stamford CBD, one block from the Stamford Transportation Center . The property is also near the 722,000 s/f Stamford Town Center Mall (anchored by Macy’s, Barnes & Noble, H&M, and Saks Off 5th) as well as dozens of restaurants and retails options. Stamford Towers is currently leased to institutional and high credit tenants , including Citigroup, UBS Financial Services , H/ 2 Credit Manager , Titan Advisors, Gerald Metals, Bank of Ireland, Oaktree Capital, Oppenheimer, CoreCommodity and Newmark, among others.
