Man charged with several felonies after standoff in north Columbia - News - Columbia Daily Tribune

Megan Favignano @MFavignano Columbia Police arrested Christopher Latrell Moore , 35, of Columbia after a standoff Sunday evening in north Columbia . Moore was a suspect in an assault with a gun that happened early Sunday morning in the city. Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Bryana Larimer confirmed Moore 's name late Sunday night in a news release. The release also said Moore was arrested on the following felony charges: Two counts of rape in the first degree; two counts of sodomy in the first degree; armed criminal action ; burglary; failure to register with a bond of $5,000; tampering with physical evidence; unlawful possession of a concealable firearm and misdemeanor domestic assault . Larimer said Moore allegedly broke into a home while armed with a gun at 3:52 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of Old 63 North in Columbia. A female was injured during that incident.
