JACKSONVILLE, AR - The parents of a two-year-old who died in a Jacksonville apartment complex have been given 10 days to move out after they failed to pay the rent. We initially covered this story because parents were concerned that this and another's child's death could have been linked to the condition of the apartments. According to Jessica Rollins, she was under the impression that a verbal agreement had been reached. But according to Rollins on August 18 she received a letter telling her she had 10 days to vacate the premises, instead of the 30 day notice she pointed to in her lease terms. Orlando police said they don’t know if a newborn is dead or clinging to life after the child was “discarded” by her mother shortly after being born Monday. A witness reported seeing a placenta and afterbirth in the Willow Bend Apartments parking lot and investigators soon determined a full-term baby had been born, police told WFTV . “A giant area” was searched – including all dumpsters in the vicinity – but the baby was not located, officials said. Cops have named the child “Baby Willow,” News4Jax reported. Police were able to locate the 31-year-old mother, who allegedly admitted to giving birth to a baby girl. It’s unknown if the woman, whose name has not been released, has told authorities where the infant may be. The woman, who has not been arrested, is not a resident of the Willow Bend Apartments , though neighbors told WFTV that the woman is known to frequent the area.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A drive-by shooting left two people hospitalized in northwest Harris County Saturday night . Harris County deputies say the shooting happened around 11:15 p.m. at the Willow Bend Apartments . A group of men were hanging out by the pool when a car pulled up and fired shots, striking two people, deputies said. Both victims were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
