3. Re: towson apartments As an attorney who only represents tenants, I don't know of any landlord that isn't difficult to work with when there is a problem. Private landlords tend to either go overboard to make sure stuff is ok or are worse than a professionally run management company . Also, you have to figure that only people with a grudge write stuff . The many more satisfied customers never leave a note. Best suggestion is to interview the private owners, get the names of former tenants and ask questions, look at each place critically, understand that it will be a dorm for all intents and purposes and make your most informed decision. I would not rent sight unseen . He should make a trip to view the various units in person before signing any lease. Good luck

There’s a big demand for more affordable housing in Charlotte, where rents and home prices have shot up much faster than wages over the past few years. Many of the apartments being built now target more affluent renters, waitlists for housing vouchers are long and starter homes are snapped up almost immediately. So why aren’t developers building more affordable housing ? That was one of the main questions at a candidate education panel hosted by the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association on Friday, where about two dozen candidates for Charlotte City Council turned out to learn some of the basics on a complicated subject. “ Affordable housing is one of the topics you’ll talk about a lot,” Bryan Holladay, who supervises the group’s government affairs outreach , told the candidates.
