He’d taken an interest in our state owing to his keen desire to lodge a casino in Bridgeport, an idea I found economically and morally dubious. I had scant hope of enlisting him, but made the trip anyway, thinking that if I convinced him I might win, he’d be less apt to bankroll my opponent. TWIN FALLS — Lincoln Elementary is pioneering a program this year to teach students who are learning English in their regular classrooms, rather than taking them out for part of the day. A regular classroom teacher and an English as a Second Language teacher works in each of these classrooms, said Principal Beth Olmstead . The ESL teacher helps with lesson plans to include ESL strategies to ensure students get a boost in vocabulary and language instruction. Then, the two teachers work together to instruct the class. This co-teaching system, Olmstead said, helps children who are learning English to “learn from their peers rather than being isolated.” Middle and high schools in the district have also started to use a similar model to instruct students who are still learning English. CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — A car with a Lucas County license plate plowed into a crowd of people peacefully protesting a white nationalist rally Saturday in a Virginia college town , killing one person, hurting at least two dozen more and ratcheting up tension in an increasingly violent confrontation . Multiple media outlets are reporting the car is registered to 20-year-old James Alex Fields of Maumee, based on vehicle registration records . Albemarle- Charlottesville Regional Jail Superintendent Martin Kumer told The Post that a man with the same name and age was booked Saturday on suspicion of second-degree murder, malicious wounding, failure to stop for an accident involving a death, and hit and run. I was just asking why the news of the search on Paul Manafort ’s home was breaking now. Only to discover that Trump buddy David Pecker ’s National Enquirer is breaking “an investigation” about Manafort’s mistress, including this quote from a “ White House insider .” President Trump has been focused on draining the swamp in Washington D.C., … Meanwhile, one of his trusted advisers was bedding another woman behind his wife’s back, betraying her  and his country. Mind you, the affair is not news. Krypt3ia first reported it, based of hack and leaked texts, back in March. I found conversations between Manaforts daughter and someone about how her father was having an affair with a girl younger than one of his daughters. What is even more interesting is that the allegation here is that not only was Manafort having this affair but that girl (who is named in the chats and I have backstopped and was in fact in Ukraine at the time mentioned while Manafort was there) but that of all things Paul...

Megyn Kelly is excited about bonding with her fellow human beings . She’s so excited she’s bouncing in her chair, hands waving, as she talks about empowerment and laughter and tears. It’s a recent summer evening , and we’re in her living room on Manhattan’s Upper West Side —a simple space of modern furniture, earth tones, and bookshelves (mostly hardcover novels, De­Mille to Franzen).
