Jeremy Lett, 28, was shot by TPD officer David Stith , who was responding to reports of a burglary at the Shadow Ridge Apartments on West Tharpe Street around 8 p.m. Wednesday. After Stith spotted and confronted a man matching the burglary suspect's description, the two men were involved in a physical altercation during which Stith shot Lett , according to TPD spokesman David Northway . The burglary was reported at the complex, but Northway did not know which apartment. Stith, who was not injured, has been placed on administrative leave with pay following the incident, which is protocol when an officer fires his weapon in the line of duty. LONG BEACH, CA – Eric Arroyo, 31, of Long Beach will face a judge to determine whether or not there is enough evidence to move forward with a trial today. Arroyo is charged with two felony counts each of attempted murder of a peace officer and assault with a firearm upon a peace officer after a shootout he allegedly initiated with police, in which a Long Beach police officer was struck by gunfire from a fellow officer .. The criminal complaint alleges that Arroyo personally and intentionally discharged a firearm. He allegedly fired at a uniformed police officer in the courtyard of a Long Beach apartment complex in June of last year. Three officers returned fire , according to police, and the injured officer and Arroyo suffered what were described by police as “non-life-threatening” wounds in the shootout. TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Police were dispatched to an apartment complex after a call was made to 911 about a potential burglary in progress Wednesday night . TPD responded to Shadow Ridge Apartments on West Tharpe Street just after 8:00p.m. The officer on duty matched the description from dispatch to a suspect at the scene. According to TPD,  the officer and the suspect got in a struggle and that's when the officer discharged his weapon, shooting the victim. The suspect was taken to a local hospital, his condition is unknown at this time.

Ocala Police Department detectives are searching for the gunmen — or a gunman — who shot the three male victims in two neighborhoods. Detectives have not released the names of the victims, but said they were two 17-year-old boys and a 26-year-old man. Their injuries were not life-threatening. One of the teens was shot five times and was hit in the legs and ankle, said a woman who knows both victims.
