CONCORD, NH — This week’s U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Fugitive of the Week is behind bars, according to Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White . Adam Walter Searles , 28, was arrested on Aug. 24, 2017, on an outstanding arrest warrant issued back in May by the Strafford County Superior Court for bail violations stemming from original charges of burglary, credit card fraud and drug offenses. Searles, who has a number of priors, was featured yesterday and since that time, task force members – including members from the Strafford, Rockingham, Hillsborough and Belknap County Sheriff ’s Offices, Federal Protective Service , along with deputy U.S. Marshals – “developed information indicating that Searles was residing with a known associate on Abbey Lane in Dover,” White stated. An early Sunday morning standoff ended with an Aurora police SWAT team arresting a shotgun-wielding man, who had an outstanding arrest warrant for attempted homicide. Aurora police said the man is Adeeb Mohammed. At around 2 a.m., Aurora police received a report of a man with a gun at the Silverbrook Apartments, at 15453 E. First Ave., police said. A resident who heard a fight in the parking lot told police that he saw a man with a gun when he looked out the window. When officers arrived at the scene, a man told them that the suspect had pointed a shotgun at him and also hit him with the gun. The man told police that the suspect ran into one of the complex’s buildings and took shelter in apartment 302. When officers learned the identity of the suspect, they discovered there was a warrant for his arrest for attempted homicide, police said. FRAMINGHAM - Homicide suspect Cornel Bel is believed to be hiding in South Florida, possibly in Coral Gables or Miami, where he is known to have family contacts, Massachusetts State Police said.   Bell is the authorities' prime suspect in the homicide of Michele Clarke of Weymouth. The two had what police called "a past dating relationship ."  Clarke's body was found at about 4 a.m. Saturday in her Lake Street apartment after police were asked to check on her welfare. Police said she died of, " sharp force injuries ." Before the day was out, police secured an arrest warrant for Bell in Quincy District Court .   Authorities said Bell has a long history of violent crime and several outstanding arrest warrants . One warrant dates from 1997 charging him with assault with the intent to murder and a 2002 one charges him with armed robbery. Bell is adept at using aliases, police said in writing. The discovery of the infant, Fargo police said, was followed by the arrest of Brooke Lynn Crews , 38, and William Henry Hoehn , 32, who both lived in the same apartment building as the missing woman , Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind. Crews and Hoehn were arrested and charged with felony conspiracy to commit kidnapping, police said in a Facebook post. They were being held at the Cass County Jail . LaFontaine-Greywind went missing from the apartment building Saturday afternoon . Her whereabouts remained unknown late Thursday , police said. At least six investigators were seen donning hazmat suits Thursday night outside the apartment building at 2825 9th St. N., where LaFontaine-Greywind lives with her parents in a basement unit. LAWRENCE — A man and woman who live 46 miles away in Mont Vernon, New Hampshire, were among 43 people teams of detectives arrested on Wednesday during another targeted drug suppression sweep throughout the city.  Teams of local detectives, state troopers and federal agents descended on various neighborhoods in Lawrence in the third organized operation of its kind this summer.  Previously, 80 arrests were made in July and August during similar sweeps.
