Lincoln Property Company , a national home and business real estate firm with 500 communities within its network, has seen the  traditional apartment search process go from word-of-mouth to mostly being driven by online reviews and social media. In other words, real estate has a lot in common with restaurants — and pretty much every business — in driving new customers. The real estate service company was struggling to manage all the customer reviews of its multi- family housing . As a result, its search rankings were slipping. Lincoln Property first tapped a reputation management company in 2012. A fire broke out at a west Edmonton apartment complex Thursday morning in the Callingwood area, where crews arrived  to find some residents on their balconies. Edmonton Fire Rescue said 40 firefighters were called to the Westridge Estates B apartment complex at 7611-172 St. just after 8 a.m. and arrived on scene within five minutes.The fire began in a third floor suite and quickly spread. Flames could be seen shooting from the roof of the four- storey apartment building , which is owned by Boardwalk rentals.Third-floor- resident Kerry Upright said she woke up to fire alarms going off.“I heard screaming outside on the balcony,” she told Global News .“I went to the balcony and seen a guy almost jump off the balcony.” Story continues below She said she also saw smoke coming from his suite. Walters Group Fundraiser BARNEGAT, N.J. - Aug. 24, 2017 - PRLog -- A Walters Group fundraiser held at the Laurel Oaks Apartments raised $4,000 for 14-year-old resident Nikolas Falco , diagnosed with cancer in April. The three- hour benefit filled the community room at Laurel Oaks Apartments on Aug. 11,and drew in more than 100 participants. Walters Group organizers included Carrie Adragna , community manager; Jennifer Pampalone, services coordinator; Veronica Velez, assistant manager; and Denise Martin, leasing consultant. Organizers also found support from the company, residents and local community. Solano Park and Orchard Park Apartments are set to close for redevelopment because of their antiquity. The many structural replacements required for both buildings make renovation too costly. Orchard Park, located in the northwest corner of UC Davis, is to close July 31, while the demolition of Solano Park, in southeast Davis, is scheduled for July 31, 2016. The complexes have been known to provide affordable housing with spacious grass areas and community environments for full- time student families and their children since the 1960s. Current plans for the redevelopment of Orchard Park, which will be completed by fall 2016, include student family and single graduate apartments for 500 students, as well as additional units for transitioning faculty and staff. A Graduate Student Assistant Association member and the Graduate Student Assistant to the Chancellor were asked to join the project committee.
