Study: Phoenix renters leaving the state, however renter population remains high

PHOENIX - A new study this week from Apartment List states that roughly 68 percent of Phoenix renters were leaving for another state. The analysis was completed by their annual renter survey . Researchers said they surveyed 24,000 renters. They asked them, "Do you plan on settling down in another city," and "If you plan on settling in another city, what's your biggest reason for leaving your current city?" Overall, renters in our state -- along with Texas and Florida -- were still more likely to settle in Arizona. Apartment boom slowing; labor shortage, rising lumber prices cited | Local News

Work is progressing on some high profile housing developments in Terre Haute, but one project is on hold, another has been delayed and a third scaled back.. A shortage of skilled labor and rising lumber costs prompted Thompson Thrift to shelve a planned $28 million, 232- unit expansion of Sycamore Terrace apartments , off New Margaret Drive, according to Paul Thrift, company president. And, after an initial start date set for earlier this year, Carmel- based Mainstreet Student Living is now looking to begin construction in April on a $20 million, 162-unit complex near Union Hospital with completion in August 2019. Mainstreet’s project was pushed back “in an effort to ensure our partners could execute our plans and guarantee an on-time opening,” said Justin Farris, managing director. A third project involving market rate apartments on Sidenbender Road near 25th Street and Margaret Avenue has been reduced in scope with construction scheduled to begin next spring on...

Formula Nero DH Fork - First Look

Image
Formula is a resurgent company right now. Maybe best known for their brakes, they launched their suspension line in 2012 with their 33 fork. Since then they have taken a cautious path for development, but have quietly and completely revamped their entire range of products. Only last year they added their burly single crown Selva fork and all-new Cura brake platform . As well as the headline launches they have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to refine and perfect their damping performance, as we found out with them last December, to the point where their suspension can hold its own against the best on the market. Yet they are a company that has always been closely tied to the downhill side of the sport, so the inevitable question was: when would they add a dual crown fork ? The Nero fork is their answer to that question. This year you may have spied the prototypes for this fork aboard the bikes of Argentina Bike , the top DH racing team in Italy. While Loris Revelli or Fran...
