Friday, Aug. 11 3:47 p.m.: Police were called by an employee from a company on Wiggins Avenue who was reporting that a former employee that had been terminated was making threats to the employer. Police arrived on the scene and spoke with the employer about filing a no trespassing order. 9:22 p.m.: The Lexington Police Department placed a call to Bedford that a MBTA bus was seen traveling towards Bedford on Great Road, with green lights activated and the message "call police" on the board that typically displays the bus route number . Woman Loses $10K in Jewelry to Psychic Scammer on Upper East Side: NYPD - Upper East Side - New York

UPPER EAST SIDE — A woman claiming to be a psychic stole nearly $10,000 in jewelry from an Upper East Sider as part of a scam to "cleanse" the valuables of evil spirits, police said. The victim contacted the suspect July 28 and asked her to come to her East 83rd Street apartment . When the so-called psychic arrived around 1:40 p.m., she told the victim to give her jewelry so that she could cleanse the items of evil spirits, promising to return the goods a week later, police said. The psychic never returned with the jewelry, which totaled $9,950 and included a $5, 000 gold necklace , a $3,000 pair of white gold earrings , five bangles worth $200, a Gucci sterling silver watch worth $500, an $800 amethyst ring, one sterling silver crystal hoop earring worth $175, and various earrings totaling $275, according to the NYPD. Mother of abandoned newborn girl charged with child neglect

The only remains of the birth of "Baby Willow" were washed away from an apartment complex parking lot Tuesday morning as distraught neighbors looked on. A day earlier Orlando police responded around 3 p.m. to Willow Bend Apartments after someone reported seeing a possible placenta in the parking lot. Homicide and crime- scene investigators determined "that a full term baby had been born and discarded," police said. Officers found the mother, 30-year-old Susan Richardson, on Monday but no baby. She only admitted to giving birth to the girl, according to police. Richardson was taken to the Orange County Jail on an aggravated child neglect charge Tuesday afternoon , police say. Oxford University worker, 56, charged with US murder

An Oxford University worker has been charged with murder after a man's body was discovered in an apartment with more than 40 stab wounds . Andrew Warren, 56, a senior treasury assistant at the institution's Somerville College, is accused alongside Professor Wyndham Lathem , 42, of murdering Trenton Cornell -Duranleau. Masked intruders with baseball bats caught by police: Brunswick Police Blotter

Brian Lisik/special to cleveland.com   BRUNSWICK ---   Menacing, Stonybrook Lane: Four men and a woman were arrested for menacing at 5:15 p.m. Aug. 8 after they were seen getting out of a silver Toyota Victim " carrying baseball bats and wearing bandannas over their faces," according to witnesses. The suspects then began screaming and threatening a tenant at Laurel Hill apartments , while pounding on his apartment door. The victim recognized the suspects and the victim's girlfriend said she saw one of the men pull a handgun from a grocery bag. The car was located a short time later and a baseball bat, a bandana and marijuana was found inside. One of the men admitted to going to the apartment to confront the victim "about stolen money," reports said. No guns were found in the car and the suspects all denied having a gun. Local News LUBBOCK, TX - Lubbock Police said that another gunshot victim came forward on Tuesday related to a shooting incident on Monday afternoon. At about 2:30 Monday afternoon, the Lubbock Police Department received a call about gunshots in the area of 2100 Avenue O.  An officer was nearby and heard another gunshot near 24th Place and Avenue N. The officer found a 35-year-old woman who had been shot in the arm.  Police said she had “moderate injuries.” Police said Abrean Watkins , 22, was arrested on an unrelated charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Police said, “On Tuesday at approximately 1:20 p.m., nearly 24 hours after the original call of shots fired, the Lubbock Police Department received a call that another gunshot victim had just arrived at the hospital.” “The male victim had moderate injuries on his hand,” police said. Aurora SWAT takes man into custody after five-hour standoff

An early Sunday morning standoff ended with an Aurora police SWAT team arresting a shotgun-wielding man, who had an outstanding arrest warrant for attempted homicide. Aurora police said the man is Adeeb Mohammed. At around 2 a.m., Aurora police received a report of a man with a gun at the Silverbrook Apartments, at 15453 E. First Ave., police said. A resident who heard a fight in the parking lot told police that he saw a man with a gun when he looked out the window. When officers arrived at the scene, a man told them that the suspect had pointed a shotgun at him and also hit him with the gun. The man told police that the suspect ran into one of the complex’s buildings and took shelter in apartment 302. When officers learned the identity of the suspect, they discovered there was a warrant for his arrest for attempted homicide, police said. Police take search efforts underground, still no sign of Baby Willow

ORLANDO, Fla. — After three days, Orlando police have yet to find any sign of Baby Willow. Investigators, along with city of Orlando crews searched sewer lines for any sign of the missing infant on Wednesday. Those searches and the reexamination of dumpsters from the Willow Bend Apartment Complex failed to yield any evidence, police said. Megan Favignano @MFavignano Columbia Police arrested Christopher Latrell Moore , 35, of Columbia after a standoff Sunday evening in north Columbia . Moore was a suspect in an assault with a gun that happened early Sunday morning in the city. Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Bryana Larimer confirmed Moore 's name late Sunday night in a news release. The release also said Moore was arrested on the following felony charges: Two counts of rape in the first degree; two counts of sodomy in the first degree; armed criminal action ; burglary; failure to register with a bond of $5,000; tampering with physical evidence; unlawful possession of a concealable firearm and misdemeanor domestic assault . Larimer said Moore allegedly broke into a home while armed with a gun at 3:52 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of Old 63 North in Columbia. A female was injured during that incident. Update: Man cut himself with machete, threatened two people, police at Westwind apartments

A 29-year-old man was taken into police custody after threatening two people and responding officers with a machete on Saturday at a Myrtle Beach apartment complex . Officers received a call about a disturbance at 8 a.m. Saturday morning at Westwind apartments on Pridgen Road, near 13th Avenue South . When police arrived on scene, the man, identified as Joshua Curt Floyd , also threatened them, Lt. Joey Crosby, spokesman with Myrtle Beach police , said. Once the officers were threatened, they set up a perimeter and called for backup. Search and arrest warrants were obtained, and multiple agencies, including South Carolina Law Enforcement Division , Horry County Fire Rescue , and a SWAT team were called to the scene, and blocked part of Pridgen Road for hours during the investigation, police said. “They [officers] felt it was best to retreat for their safety and also to make sure the public was safe as well,” Crosby said.
