Man crashes through apartment window: Bedford Police log - News - Bedford Minuteman
The following are excerpts from the Bedford police log for the period of Aug. 11 to Aug. 17. The log is public record and available to review. All persons are presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.
Friday, Aug. 11
3:47 p.m.: Police were called by an employee from a company on Wiggins Avenue who was reporting that a former employee that had been terminated was making threats to the employer. Police arrived on the scene and spoke with the employer about filing a no trespassing order.
9:22 p.m.: The Lexington Police Department placed a call to Bedford that a MBTA bus was seen traveling towards Bedford on Great Road, with green lights activated and the message "call police" on the board that typically displays the bus route number. Police were dispatched but could not locate the bus.
Saturday, Aug. 12
2:33 p.m.: Police reported a motorcyclist on the bike path with a four-year-old child on the front of the bike. The motorcyclist was described as white male with a beard, traveling from Billerica towards Fawn Lake on Springs Road. Police arrived but could not find the motorcyclist; Billerica Police were notified.
8:42 p.m.: A call came in from a resident of Bedford Village reporting a fire outside of their house in the woods between Bedford Village and Marshalls. Caller reported hearing voices coming from the woods and believed it may be a group of kids. Police and fire responded and noticed a small campfire that had been vacated. The fire was extinguished.
Sunday, Aug. 13
4:40 p.m.: A call from a resident of Sweeney Ridge Road requesting to speak an officer regarding an altercation he had with a neighbor. Officer responded and said that the argument was over the caller's neighbor being upset with the caller's dogs going to the bathroom near their property. Animal Control was notified.
11:19 p.m.: Police reported a call saying that a man was seen yelling outside his apartment in Bedford Village and eventually jumped through the screen window into the apartment. Police responded and spoke with the man who said that he jumped through the window after he was unable to get his wife's attention after being locked out of his home. No further police action was required.
Monday, Aug. 14
4:21 p.m.: An erratic operator was reported driving in the area of Page Road. The vehicle was a blue Subaru and was reportedly crossing over the center line and cutting corners. Police located the vehicle in the parking lot of Carleton Willard Village and reported the driver to be an elderly female. Police determined the driver was not impaired.
Tuesday, Aug. 15
6:44 p.m.: Received a call from a driver on South Road of a female pushing a small child in a shopping carriage in the street. Police arrived and spoke with the woman who said that she was returning the carriage to CVS and there were no sidewalks in the area.
Wednesday, Aug. 16
7:31 p.m.: Police received multiple calls from the Crosby Drive area that reported motorcycles racing around the area. Police were dispatched and searched the area, but could not locate any motorcycles.
Thursday, Aug. 17
7:24 p.m.: A resident called and reported a road rage incident that took place at Wilson Park near 5 Concord Road. The caller said that the operator of a black and red pickup truck got out of his vehicle and slammed his hands on the hood of another vehicle in anger. The operator then resumed driving westbound on Concord Road. Police found the truck on Hartwell Road and spoke to the operator who said that he never got out of his vehicle.
