All charges against Terrell Walton, one of two men accused of committing a double homicide in Aberdeen in June 2016, have been dropped, but police and prosecutors say they have not ended their pursuit of justice for the victims and their loved ones. "We're still working it as an open and active investigation," Lt. Will Reiber, a spokesperson for the Aberdeen Police Department , said Wednesday. Twenty-three charges filed against Walton, 31, of Aberdeen, were dropped Aug. 15, according to online court records . He had not been to trial. Bristol, R.I. —  Bristol Police Chief Josue Canario announces the arrest of three individuals as a result of a narcotics investigation by Bristol Police over the past several months. During the course of the investigation 36-year-old Kenny Savinon of Bristol was identified as the primary target of the investigation. As a result of the investigation Bristol Police were able to secure an arrest warrant for Savinon. Court authorized search warrants for four properties under the control of Savinon were also obtained. On August 24, 2017 while Savinon was entering his business, Get Liquidated at 15 Gooding Ave, Bristol Police officers approached Savinon and took him into custody without incident. Officers with the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force took part in a probation search Wednesday at an apartment at 111 Cottonwood St., the home of Jacob Zefferino Gomez , according to court documents . Officers said the apartment appeared to be a "flop house" where people come to buy and use drugs. Inside Gomez's bedroom, law enforcement said they found a black case containing a bag with 0.6 grams of heroin and a small amount of marijuana. Officers also said they located a digital scale, commonly used to weigh drugs, in Gomez's closet. Task Force officers said 0.6 grams of heroin is an amount not commonly possessed for personal use. That and the digital scale led to a Class B felony charge for possession with heroin with intent to sell. Gomez, 34, also was charged with child endangerment, a Class C felony, because his two-year-old child was in the residence. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 10- month investigation led authorities to 600 pounds of pot in east Tennessee and four people were arrested. According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, two search warrants were executed Tuesday night in the drug trafficking operation in Luttrell and Knoxville. A third search was made in Powder Springs in Grainger County. The TBI says that as a result of those searches, agents seized more than 600 pounds of marijuana, approximately $50,000 in cash, multiple firearms, and vehicles. As an investigation into the death of a Helena carjacking victim continues , his alleged attacker faces more charges stemming from a rampage in Salt Lake City . Authorities say Eddie Christopher Sanchez , 45, of Helena, started his crime spree in Helena early Sunday when he allegedly led officers on a pursuit and then strangled a man during a carjacking on Washington Street. He is also accused of assaulting a woman in Dillon and forcibly taking her wallet Sunday afternoon .  On Tuesday, authorities in Salt Lake City picked up Sanchez on a Helena-based warrant on felony charges of criminal endangerment, aggravated assault and robbery.  Just before authorities apprehended Sanchez , he pulled a knife on someone in Salt Lake City , according to police reports . BEAUMONT - A Beaumont man is facing a list of charges after he led officers on a chase Tuesday evening . An officer was at an apartment building located at 2575 Primrose checking out a report of drug dealing.  A police spokesperson said the officer, while at the apartment building , saw a driver commit several traffic violations as it left the parking lot.  The officer tried to stop the car, but the driver refused to pull over and a chase began. Police say the driver was throwing things out of the window during the chase. The driver crashed near Plum and Forest, then ran to a house located at 1170 Cottonwood.  Police say he was found hiding in the attic.  Police have identified the man as Brian Keith Williams , 39, of Beaumont.  He was arrested for evading detention with a motor vehicle, evading detention on foot and possession of a controlled substance. Bristol police said that their investigation led them to 36-year-old Kenny Savinon of Bristol. Officers arrested Savinon outside his business, Get Liquidated, at 15 Gooding Avenue. Burge, 22, a senior from Indianapolis in the Krannert School of Management, was pulled over near the intersection of Stadium and Northwestern avenues for an alleged traffic violation shortly after midnight. TEMPE, AZ - A woman was able to escape an attack by her ex-boyfriend and the Tempe apartment he set on fire. Tempe police report that on August 19 they received a call from a resident of an apartment complex, near McClintock and University drives. When police arrived, they smelled smoke, heard a fire alarm and a woman screaming as she escaped an apartment unit engulfed in flames. The woman told police that her ex-boyfriend, 38-year-old Micheo Deangelo Cooper came home for the first time after she broke off their relationship two days prior. After a long argument, Cooper reportedly broke into her bedroom breaking the door and allegedly shoving her against a wall. Cooper allegedly threatened to kill her and burn her belongings while flicking a red lighter on and off. A repeat felon from Oklahoma is set to spend the rest of his life in prison over three Marietta robberies in 2016, Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds announced Monday . On Friday, a Cobb jury convicted 40 -year-old Rodney Kinchelle Howell of stealing purses from three women outside three Marietta stores in April of last year. All three robberies occurred in the daytime, and in one instance, a stolen purse yielded a handgun used in a later attack, said Kim Isaza, spokesperson for the DA’s office. Howell’s codefendant, Cheyenne Nicole Rogers , 23, also of Oklahoma, pleaded guilty earlier this month to charges related to the robberies. The first robbery occurred at 11 a.m. on April 5, 2016, when Howell and Rogers went to the Walmart on Cobb Parkway near the Big Chicken. As the two followed an 86-year-old woman and her 64-year-old daughter out of the store, Howell grabbed the mother’s purse and ran. Moore was a suspect in an assault with a gun that happened early Sunday morning in the city. Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Bryana Larimer confirmed Moore 's name late Sunday night in a news release. The release also said Moore was arrested on the following felony charges: Two counts of rape in the first degree; two counts of sodomy in the first degree; armed criminal action ; burglary; failure to register with a bond of $5,000; tampering with physical evidence; unlawful possession of a concealable firearm and misdemeanor domestic assault .
