Police: Joliet man tried getting inside cars, urinated on one of them
A Joliet man tried getting inside of several cars and urinated on one of them, police said.
Timothy G. Roderick, 55, of the 100 block of Twin Oaks Drive, was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle, disorderly conduct and burglary in connection with the incident.
Shortly after midnight Thursday, Roderick was seen by a 40-year-old woman inside another person’s car when she came out of her apartment on Twin Oaks Drive, Joliet Police Capt. Jeff Allbert said.
Allbert said the woman spoke to Roderick and asked if he lived on the block. Roderick walked to one of the doors of the apartment and tried to open it but didn’t have a key, so he turned around to walk to another building and checked at least eight door handles to cars along with the way, Allbert said.
The woman then reportedly watched as Roderick urinated on a car parked in front of a building on Twin Oaks Drive.
When the woman didn’t see Roderick again, she called police. Officers located him and he was positively identified by the woman, Allbert said. Roderick was arrested and taken to Will County jail Friday. His bond was set at $25,000.
