RIT students displaced after off-campus apartment fire
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Some RIT students are out of their off-campus apartments after a fire Tuesday night.
Firefighters found flames and smoke on the first floor of the Colony Manor Apartments shortly after 8 p.m.
They managed to get the fire under control in about 16 minutes.
Firefighters say six rooms can't be lived in.
RIT Housing put up ten students for the night.
Firefighters say a few people were checked out by EMS at the scene but no one was taken to the hospital.
