( Tuscaloosa County Jail )   A Northport man was arrested early Friday morning after allegedly firing blindly through the walls of his apartment and sending bullets into neighboring residences.  Lt. Kip Hart, the assistant commander of the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit , said investigators were called to the Saddlewood Apartments on Deerfield Lane in Northport around 3 o' clock Friday morning when residents there reported their homes had been shot into.  Hart said officers found two apartments bullets had ripped into, both of which were occupied. HILLSBORO, OR — Two Portland teens were arrested over the past 24 hours on suspicion of attempted murder in Hillsboro last week, according to Hillsboro police spokesman Lt . Henry Reimann. Cristin Octavio Magana -Ponce, 19, was arrested early Friday at his Portland residence with help from the Portland Metro Gang and Crisis Negotiation teams and Portland Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT). He was lodged at the Washington County Jail on charges of conspiracy to commit two murders. Roderick, 55, of the 100 block of Twin Oaks Drive , was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle, disorderly conduct and burglary in connection with the incident. Shortly after midnight Thursday, Roderick was seen by a 40-year-old woman inside another person’s car when she came out of her apartment on Twin Oaks Drive , Joliet Police Capt . Jeff Allbert said. Gerald Forbes, 72, of Orange ORANGE - An argument over a woman and property ended with the stabbing death of a 74-year-old man in Orange on Friday. Orange Police Captain Robert Enmon told 12News Monday that Gerald Forbes, 72, stabbed and killed Alvin Wilkins , 74, during a scuffle Friday.  He said Forbes stabbed Wilkins in the abdomen.  Wilkins was taken to a hospital in Beaumont where doctors pronounced him dead. According to a police report obtained by 12News, officers were called to the 2000 block of 4 th Street where they found Wilkins, “lying in a grassy area of the common grounds of Alexander Homes Apartments .”  Medics with the orange Fire Department treated him before he was brought to the hospital. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 22-year-old man was arrested Thursday night after shooting a student leaving the Deerwood campus of Florida State College at Jacksonville, police said. Maxwell Martin is charged with two counts of attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle. About 9 p.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to the intersection of Baymeadows Road and Southside Boulevard. Two students were leaving the building and getting into a car when they noticed a man, later identified as Martin, between the railings and bushes walking toward them with a "grimacing look," JSO Lt. Larry Kitchen said. Once in the car, they saw Martin walk around the vehicle with a gun in his hand before he fired a shot toward the back of the vehicle, police said. Mirlene Oliveira, 28, was driving and sped out of the parking lot. Her friend, 18-year-old Jose Yanes, was in the passenger seat and was hit in the left arm by a bullet, police said. A father in Florida is being held without bond after allegedly setting an apartment on fire with his three children inside before escaping through a window, authorities say. Velmando Jahvon Williams , 22, remains jailed at the Palm Beach County Jail on three counts each of attempted homicide and false imprisonment, as well as first-degree arson and battery charges, jail records show . Williams set the apartment on fire Friday during an argument with the children’s mother at Stonybrook Apartments in Riviera Beach, she told WPTV. “I’m trying to get over it, but I can’t,” the children’s mother, Tranice Smith, told the station. “I have no words for him. None.” Williams held Smith down by her shirt prior to setting the fire, but she was able to break free by ripping her shirt off during the scuffle, according to a police report obtained by the Palm Beach Post . DAVENPORT, Fla.  - A 25-year-old Orlando man was arrested on DUI charges after he allegedly struck 17 parked vehicles while trying to park his own SUV on Friday, reports CBS affiliate WKMG . The Florida Highway Patrol said it was called to The Gate Apartments in Davenport on a report of an impaired driver . When they arrived they found a condominium parking lot that could've been mistaken for a junk yard.  Troopers said Tony Futch was driving a blue 2003 Chevrolet Blazer and struck the 17 vehicles in eight different crashes while maneuvering his SUV around the lot. Futch was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail . Futch, whose license had previously been revoked for DUI in 2013, refused to provide a breath sample, the FHP said. A 22-year-old man was arrested Friday night after he set a Riviera Beach apartment on fire with his children inside, police said. Velmando J. Williams was charged with Attempted Murder, Simple Battery Domestic , and First Degree Arson. According to WPTV, Riviera Beach Police received an emergency call reporting a domestic dispute at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard . Riviera Beach Fire Rescue crews , police and concerned residents at the scene were able to safely rescue three children, including an infant, a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old, from the apartment. The children's mother told police that Williams set the apartment on fire during an argument between the two of them. He was arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail .
