Great location - Review of Pacific Place Apartments, Bilinga

This is one of those hidden gems for a budget traveler who wants to enjoy the gold coast. It is also perfect for 2 family groups who will find the cost savings remarkable as the place is completely furnished including washing and drying facilities. The spacious apartments have nice balcony area, plenty of furniture, cooking utensils, a large refrigerator, and microwave. While there are some complimentary coffee bags and sugar provided on the first day, I got the sense that if you stay more there will be no service of any kind until you leave. So, if you are planning to stay here for a few days, make sure you purchase all the groceries including coffee, washing soap, and toilet tissue to cover the length of your stay. Since eating out is so expensive and unhealthy, it is definitely a better option for staying in this wonderful city. We found cockroaches in the room and I am not sure if it is because it is an apartment building with permanent dwellers. The place is within 1 km from the airport and few meters from the beach. We can take a nice early morning walk everyday to beach and experience the rising sun from the ocean. There are plenty of activities to do in this area and hence this turned to out to be an ideal place to stay for several days.

Room Tip: Try to choose lower floors as there are no elevators.

8 201 4th St Del Mar , CA 92014 (858) 481-9585 Been here for 5 months now. These are definitely old apartments; the floorplans aren't modern or laid out super efficiently. But if you want to live within line-of-sight to the ocean, this place is as affordable as it gets. The manager is hands-down one of the nicest dudes I've met and has been extremely accommodating to us. Although the property is old, it's clean and decently kept up. The pool and hot tub are nice. We're on the 2nd floor in a corner unit and it's been very quiet for us. We haven't had any issues with bugs or vermin of any sort; in fact, we keep our porch door wide open all day long so our kitties can get some fresh air. This results in maybe 1 fly per day inside. There are surfer trails very nearby that lead down the cliffs for beach access. Bottom line, if you're looking for luxury, don't live here. It's too old to ever be luxurious.
