SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 21, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police and medical personnel responded to a report of a car crashing into a tree a little before 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Salt Lake Police Lt. Dave Cracroft told Gephardt Daily the accident happened when a woman was driving out of an apartment complex near 1400 S. West Temple St.

The woman’s foot apparently got stuck on the gas pedal, sending the car into a tree on the other side of the street.

Two adults were in the vehicle’s front seat, and three young children were in the back seat. Cracroft said any injuries were very minor, which he said leads him to think everyone was properly belted in.

He said they were all transported to the hospital as a precaution because of the impact, which caused the air bags to deploy.
