MESA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

U.S. marshals in Pennsylvania have captured a man wanted for homicide here in Arizona.

Police believe that on September 9, 2015, Marks and Richard Wren, 31, had engaged in a physical altercation at the Vaseo apartments, near Greenway Parkway and 7th Street in Phoenix.

Recently, the U.S. Marshals-led Arizona WANTED Violent Offender Task Force began working collaboratively with the Phoenix Police Department to locate and apprehend Marks. During the investigation, it was determined that Marks had fled Arizona and was likely residing in the Philadelphia area.

Based on this information, deputy U.S. marshals in Philadelphia were able to determine where Marks was residing. Upon approaching the address, Marks attempted to flee out of the back of the residence but was quickly apprehended by Task Force officers. Marks was booked into the Delaware county jail where he is awaiting extradition to Arizona.

"Once again, a violent criminal attempted to flee and evade justice by crossing state lines. This arrest is another example of law enforcement’s collaboration in Arizona”, stated David P. Gonzales, United States Marshal for the District of Arizona. Marshal Gonzales added, “Violent fugitives should take notice that they will not be able to escape justice by fleeing from state-to-state.”

Wren was shot in front of his girlfriend, Kalina Lowe. Lowe was pregnant with their daughter at the time.

Dani Rose was born Nov. 30.

"I just feel he robbed her of her father, and she's never going to meet him," she said. "I hurt for her. I'm scared to tell her one day about everything. He was just so excited to meet her."
