RFP Staff ♦ Tonight about 8:10 p.m. shots were heard at Colonial Village Apartments in the 200 block of West “D” Avenue in Salisbury, N.C. The gunshot victim, Joshua Victor Harrison , 32, was hit in the back by a shotgun blast during an attempted robbery by a black assailant with short dreads and a dark hoodie sweatshirt . Harrison initially answered the front door and turning, attempted to run when he saw the robber was armed with a sawed-off shotgun. When the Salisbury Police arrived , they found the Harrison bleeding profusely from a back wound, yet able to respond to questions. They found him a distance from the actual shooting on a porch at 306 West Avenue “D”. Joshua Victor Harrison : Transported initially to Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center , Harrsion was evacuated by helicopter to Carolinas Medical Center Northeast in Concord. A Key West, Florida, man died Tuesday after an alleged attack in his home by his male stripper partner , according to  Florida Key News . He was allegedly stabbed in both eyes and had a piece of wood shoved down his throat. Mark Brann, 67, had to be airlifted to a Miami trauma center after the attack. He suffered severe head trauma . The partner, Justin Calhoun, 24, of Tampa, Florida, is being held without bail and is charged with second-degree murder after admitting to the attack, according to a police report. Calhoun is listed in police records as identifying female, being homeless and working as a stripper. The attack happened early Monday morning , with police and paramedics called to the home at 3:25 a.m. Calhoun reported to police that she and Brann were in a sexual relationship and got into an argument Monday , with Calhoun accusing Brann of being a cannibal. Ginsburg Development Cos. has announced plans for a $2 million renovation on the 12-story, 117- unit City Trust Tower Apartments at 955 Main St. in Bridgeport. Mayor Joe Ganim and developer Martin Ginsburg .Photo by Phil Hall In a brief ceremony held yesterday in the building’s lobby, company founder and principal Martin Ginsburg highlighted plans to bring a fitness center, game room, club lounge and bicycle storage space to the building, which was built in 1928 as the headquarters of the City Trust Co. and was converted to housing 10 years ago . Ginsburg added that he was in talks with a “New York/New Jersey restaurant” to set up operations in the space that was occupied by Amici Miei Caf é. He also introduced sculptor Eric David Laxman , who presented a preview of a new statue that will be displayed in the building’s lobby.
