Los Arboles Apartments - 17 Photos - Apartments - 201 4th St, Del Mar, Del Mar, CA - Phone Number

8 201 4th St Del Mar , CA 92014 (858) 481-9585 Been here for 5 months now. These are definitely old apartments; the floorplans aren't modern or laid out super efficiently. But if you want to live within line-of-sight to the ocean, this place is as affordable as it gets. The manager is hands-down one of the nicest dudes I've met and has been extremely accommodating to us. Although the property is old, it's clean and decently kept up. The pool and hot tub are nice. We're on the 2nd floor in a corner unit and it's been very quiet for us. We haven't had any issues with bugs or vermin of any sort; in fact, we keep our porch door wide open all day long so our kitties can get some fresh air. This results in maybe 1 fly per day inside. There are surfer trails very nearby that lead down the cliffs for beach access. Bottom line, if you're looking for luxury, don't live here. It's too old to ever be luxurious. But if you're looking for line-of-sight to t

Columbus slipping on list of bed bug-infested cities - News - The Columbus Dispatch

Rita Price The Columbus Dispatch @RitaPrice Growing awareness and earlier treatments might be slowing the bed bug rampage in central Ohio. But that won't quite be cause for celebration at the 10th Annual  Central Ohio Bed Bug Task Force Summit, a public forum dedicated to providing all the latest research and guidance on the maddening, tenacious, blood-sucking pests. "What we ideally want to see is a decline," said Susan Jones, an Ohio State University entomologist and member of the Central Ohio Bed Bug Task Force . "To plateau at a really, really high level is not good news." After years of high rankings on lists of the nation's most bed bug-infested cities, Columbus — somewhat surprisingly — didn't crack the top 20 in the latest compilation from exterminating company Terminix , which bases rankings on the places where it performs the most treatments. (Orkin, however, still put Columbus at number 5 on a list it released in January.) Ohio's ot

York County SC planning projects on the table

Places to stay, eat, shop and work are in talks between property owners and York County planners . Here is the latest on projects that could come to the county: ▪  A hotel is being discussed at Pleasant and Coltharp roads in Fort Mill. Two parcels there combine for less than three acres. County records don ’t indicate which hotel brand may come, and neither parcel has changed hands since 2011. The site is just east of the intersection, beside Habersham. ▪  The hotel is part of a mixed use development in talks at Pleasant Road and Carolina Place in the Fort Mill area . It could include the hotel, apartments, restaurant and retail. The project involves eight properties just off S.C. 160. It would require rezoning, and thus a public hearing. ▪  Lake Wylie could get a new boat repair place . A possible boat and auto repair shop with marine sales is in discussion for 4355 Charlotte Hwy. More than two acres sit undeveloped there now. The property is just beside River Hills, across the mai

Fairway Park Luxury Apartments spoils tenants with superior concierge services

Cain Fatica, Fairway Park Luxury Apartments , Copley | Amanda Gardner, Fairway Park Luxury Apartments How many tenants spend some of their free time in their apartment building’s leasing office just because it is such a great place?  Residents of the Fairway Park Luxury Apartments in Copley consider their leasing office to be part coffee shop and part lodge. The Starbucks coffee is always hot, and a fireplace keeps things cozy in cold or damp weather.  “I’ll just sit there sometimes and read the paper or one of the magazines they have, like Bon Appetit. Sometimes the office staff puts out recipes that we can try,” said tenant Cain Fatica . “I enjoy cooking. My brother is a chef, but I don’t get to cook as much as I’d like to. But it’s fun to taste new recipes. In the office, it’s like your family trading recipes .” Fatica, a graduate of the University of Akron with a major in biology, has lived in the complex a total of two years. He moved once, but came back because “compared to al

Neighbors, firefighters saved 3 infants trapped in Riviera fire

RIVIERA BEACH Quick action by neighbors and firefighters — and a little luck — saved three infants trapped inside a burning apartment on Friday that police say was set on fire by their father after a domestic dispute with the children’s 19-year-old mother. Using hammers, chairs and whatever they could grab to smash through hurricane windows, neighbors entered a burning second-floor unit at the Stonybrook Apartments. They handed a 3-year-old boy and a 1-year-old boy out the window. “They kept pounding and pounding. They were using hammers and chairs, anything they could get their hands on. They wouldn’t stop until they got those kids out,” said Riviera Beach Mayor Thomas Masters . A video taken at the scene shows neighbors struggling to pound through the doors and flames coming through the roof. “There’s a new-born baby in there! Somebody locked the doors! Somebody get that baby out of there,” a woman screams in the video. A one-month-old girl was still inside, residents told firefi

Plans for this huge skyscraper to transform part of Manchester city centre will go before councillors today

Plans for more than 750 flats - including a 40-storey skyscraper - in a huge new redevelopment around Angel Meadows will go before councillors today (Thursday). The proposals, intended to kick off more than 10,000 new homes stretching out towards Collyhurst, have been met with opposition from more than 50 residents and the local parks group amid fears it will cast the historic space into shade. Read More Plans by developers Far East Consortium (FEC) would see four separate blocks of apartments built around the fringes of the park, the tallest 40-storey tower at its corner with Gould Street. As part of the proposals FEC has offered to pay for improvements to the park, but Friends of Angel Meadow have formally objected to the proposal. Read More It says the plans would ‘cast the park in shadow’, not provide enough parking and will be higher than previously outlined by the council’s planning strategy for the area. FEC have also offered to pay £100,000 to help refurbish the historic

The Plaza Is for Sale, but a Part-Owner Has Other Ideas

“We are not selling our stake and are comfortable with our rights relating to any sale by others,” said Sarmad Zok, chief executive of the prince’s company, Kingdom Hotel Investments . “We are proud to have partnered with Ashkenazy to reinstate the glory of this unique asset.” The partners have a plan for an extensive modernization program to better compete with other five-star hotels in Manhattan and to reopen areas of the hotel that have been bogged down in renovations. The Plaza’s famous Oak Room and the wood- paneled Oak Room Bar have been closed for the past six years. Whether Mr. Roy and Sahara truly intend to sell or are merely trying to bolster the price, they appear to be pressing forward. “We’ ll solicit bids ,” said Jeffrey Davis, an international director of JLL, who is overseeing the bidding for Sahara. “It’s the most iconic real estate asset in the world. It’ ll garner international attention .” Mr. Davis declined to comment on whether Kingdom Hotel Investments has

Image Gallery 7 PHOTOS Photo Courtesy: Glen Kumamoto TEMPE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - As students move into dorms and apartments in Tempe, prior to the start of classes at Arizona State University , some say the apartments they decided to rent is in poor condition. Some apartments reportedly had no furniture, when they were supposed to be furnished. Some had leaky faucets, and some even had mold. Some say many of the apartments are unlivable. "I think it's a 'bait and switch'," said Glen Kumamoto, parent of a student. "It's not fair to the students." "I'm pretty pissed about it," said Krystal Scott, who is also a parent of a student. Pictures taken inside some of the apartment units show cockroaches on the floor, mold on the ceiling, and conditions some describe as unlivable. "There's no doors on any of the rooms, so the bathrooms don't have any doors," said Kumamoto. "The sinks are broken, so you can't use the sink

Racist Irvine Apartment Flyer Is a Fake

Image
A racist flyer that made waves on social media today after a resident of an Irvine, Ca. apartment building found it hanging in an elevator is fraudulent, according to a spokesman for property company Equity Residential . “This flyer is a fake. It wasn’t produced by us. It wasn’t posted by us. I don’t know where it came from,” Equity representative Marty McKenna said over the phone this morning. The flyer—a notice about noise complaints in Irvine’s Toscana apartment complex—included a bolded section directed specifically at African-American residents. It read: We also would like to remind our African-American residents to keep conversation volume down and reduce music levels between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Multiple complaints have been made regarding this issue. The notice attracted attention after Toscana Apartments tenant and Instagram user @teyent_theequeenb posted a photo and video to her page. “This is what it means to be black in Irvine,” she says in the video. “Blatant ra

How to potty train a puppy in an apartment

Image
Easy. Adopt an adult dog who’s already potty trained! That’s what I did. OK, but seriously. It’s totally reasonable to adopt a puppy if you live in an apartment. It’s not about where you live. It’s about how much time you can commit to that pet. Potty training a puppy in an apartment does have a few challenges though. Mainly, it’s often a long ways to the potty area, so it’s harder to get your puppy outside quickly. It takes a lot more time to constantly let the puppy outside when you live on, say, the 20th floor. It’s not like you can just open the door and plop the puppy down on the grass. That being said, you can still make it work. Tips for potty training a puppy in an apartment 1. Potty train the puppy in an apartment the same way you would potty train a puppy in a house. You can read the details about that here, but the basics are: – Let the puppy out often (like, every 45 minutes when he’s not in a kennel). – Supervise at all times when he’s not in a kennel by keeping him on a l

Two Firefighters Injured In Irving Apartment Fire

Lightning may have caused a fast moving apartment fire that injured two firefighters and destroyed 24 units in Irving on Saturday evening.   According to Irving Assistant Fire Chief Rusty Wilson , the first call about the fire came into emergency dispatch at 5:54 p.m.  By the time firefighters arrived at the Eagle Crest Apartments at 3810 Esters Road, flames were shooting through the roof. Two firefighters were injured. Their condition and names have not been released. "One was injured from a fall,"  Assistant Chief Wilson said. "A second one was transported because of burns." There are no reports of any residents getting hurt.  A total of 41 firefighters responded to the fire. Irving NAACP President Anthony Bond sent NBCDFW a picture of the flames coming out the roof of one apartment building . He has lived in at the complex since 1989. His unit was not affected but he saw a neighboring building go up in flames during a thunderstorm.  "And then all of the

Deputies seek suspects who crashed stolen car

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Arcadia Ales announced last week it will close its downtown Battle Creek location after more than two decades there. The company hopes to open a new location somewhere in Battle Creek next year. Empty store fronts are a common sight in downtown Battle Creek . “I hate to see any business close up downtown because the more you have the more foot traffic you’re going to draw,” said Maryann Angelo, who owns Barista Blues Caf é in downtown Battle Creek . “You want diversity, we want all those buildings filled.” Angelo has been serving up hot food and coffee for 11 years in downtown Battle Creek . Despite Arcadia’s departure and dark windows on Michigan Avenue, Angelo doesn’t think the downtown business market has grown cold. “I see it going on the upswing, actually, as far as when I look at our business and what we’re doing,” she said. “I mean, we are definitely on the upswing.” Battle Creek Downtown Development and Small Business Director John Hart said
