More apartments selling than houses in Lower North Shore

REAL ESTATE

No. 2/19 Warringah Rd, Mosman, sold for $725,000.

IT WAS another weekend of apartment sales dominating in the Mosman area, with 11 of the top 15 auction results going to units, according to CoreLogic data.

No. 2/19 Warringah Rd, Mosman, fetched $30,000 above reserve in its auction, at which five of the nine registered buyers hadn’t even seen the place beforehand. The final price was $725,000.

Belle Property’s Brad Rogan said: “It’s a very strong result and demonstrates the strength of first homebuyers in our local market plus the confidence investors also have in property moving forward.”

REAL ESTATE

No. 1/27 Reynolds St sold for $740,000.

In Crows Nest, another one-bedder, at 33/236 Pacific Highway, managed to squeeze an extra $6,000 beyond the reserve of $640,000, while the gavel at the 1/27 Reynolds St, Cremorne, auction went down exactly on the reserve of $740,000. Buyer’s agent Patrick Bright came in at the end with a knockout bid to secure the sale, for clients who had never actually seen the property in person but liked the floorplan.

Selling agent Helen Wilson, of Belle Property Neutral Bay, said: “My clients are very happy. They’re now looking to purchase a family home with their two baby girls.”
