Beaufort PD searching for 2 armed robbery suspects

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) -

Beaufort Police are looking for two male suspects after an armed robbery took place at Forest Park Apartments between 12:15 and 12:30, Wednesday afternoon. 

Police say two unknown subjects approached the victim from behind while he was checking his mailbox at the apartments off Battery Creek Road. The victim said one of the two suspects placed what he believed to be a handgun to the back of his head and demanded he 'give it up.' Police say when the victim said he didn't have anything, he was then struck in the head with what he believed to be the gun. The suspects then left with an undisclosed amount of cash taken from the victim. 

Police say the victim sustained a laceration to the back of the head and was treated at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. 

The suspects are described as two black men in their 20s, both around 5'7 tall and 150-160 pounds. One was bald with a beard and the other was bald and clean-shaven.

There’s a big demand for more affordable housing in Charlotte, where rents and home prices have shot up much faster than wages over the past few years.
