Zac Posen Sold His Manhattan Midtown Starter Apartment Off-Market

Zac Posen has quietly unloaded his former home in favor of some chicer digs. The fashion designer, who has dressed the likes of Rihanna, Natalie Portman, Michelle Obama, and Beyoncé, recently sold his midtown Manhattan apartment for a cool $1.15 million off-market, according to city property records. He previously purchased the two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment for $925,000 in 2013. And the sale may just be the sign of greater things to come, because the Project Runway judge moved into a grander $3.5 million Upper East Side penthouse this past February.

As you may recall, his new neoclassical-style duplex includes a grand entrance with hand-painted beamed ceilings and a curved iron staircase, a formal dining room, and seven large closets for his undoubtedly large collection of fashionable clothes. The building also includes a gym, a doorman, and an outdoor courtyard. Perhaps the biggest feature of Posen’s new residence, however, is a stunning 1,800-square-foot terrace that wraps around the building.
