Police say they've arrested 'the right people,' asking for public's help in search for missing woman


“We think we have the right people,” Todd said, referring to a man and a woman who were detained and later arrested on Thursday in connection with LaFontaine-Greywind’s disappearance on Saturday.

Todd also asked for the public’s help in searching all types of structures from garages to Dumpsters to unoccupied apartments for signs of the missing woman.

In addition, he asked anyone with information about a particular green Grand Cherokee Jeep to let police know if it was seen since Saturday.

Todd said it is possible LaFontaine-Greywind, who was pregnant at the time she disappeared, is not in the area, but he did not elaborate.

He said police have some ideas on a possible motive for what they are calling a kidnapping, but he said it was too early to talk about that.

The two people arrested Thursday, William Hoehn and Brooke Crews, remain in the Cass County Jail pending charges.

According to Todd:

The arrests followed the execution of a search warrant at a north Fargo apartment Thursday afternoon where a newborn infant was found in the company of Crews.

Hoehn was arrested as part of a traffic stop.

Todd said based on what the suspects told police during questioning investigators believe the child is LaFontaine-Greywind’s, but DNA testing is being done to confirm that.
