Firefighters Respond to Quail Run Apartment Fire

EARLINGTON, Ky. (7/29/17) — Multiple fire departments are on the scene at Quail Run Apartments in Earlington for a fire that was called in shortly after 9 p.m.

The fire is out but flames were showing in an upstairs apartment as Earlington Volunteer Fire Department arrived.

EVFD Chief Chris Cothran said no one was home in the apartment where the fire was contained to a bedroom. The cause of the fire is yet unknown, said the chief.

One building was evacuated.

“Blacklist” star Megan Boone lists West Village apartment for $2.4M

Charlotte affordable housing forum raises possible solutions

There’s a big demand for more affordable housing in Charlotte, where rents and home prices have shot up much faster than wages over the past few years. Many of the apartments being built now target more affluent renters, waitlists for housing vouchers are long and starter homes are snapped up almost immediately.
