MANCHESTER — A police officer called to a Granite Street address for a trespassing complaint found a man with no address in a vacant apartment Thursday night, according to a release.

Arriving at 472 Granite St. at 9:20 p.m., Officer Jason Soucy found Francis McLaughlin, 25, in the bathroom of the vacant Apartment 3, police said.

As McLaughlin came out of the bathroom, Soucy said he saw a hypodermic needle sticking out of a bag near a refrigerator.

After McLaughlin consented to a search, police said, they found a small amount of methamphetamine.

McLaughlin was arrested and was scheduled to appear in Manchester circuit court Friday.
