Birds To Blame For Pre-Eclipse College Station Power Outage - WTAW

More than 7,500 College Station Utilities (CSU) electric customers had no power Monday morning for about 30 minutes.

That’s after birds came in contact with equipment at the CSU substation on Dowling Road.

Those affected were multiple apartment complexes and businesses located generally along Harvey Mitchell Parkway to the west of Wellborn Road to George Bush, and to the east of Wellborn Road to Welsh.

Consolidated high school was not impacted by the outage, which took place between 9:30 and 10 a.m.
