UPDATE: Fire in Sun Prairie


SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) - The Sun Prairie Fire Department was called to an apartment fire located in the 600 block of Schiller Street on Monday around 4 a.m.

According to the Sun Prairie Fire Department, firefighters arrived to a 16 unit apartment building with a lot of smoke showing. They found an active fire and began to put it out immediately.

All the residents had evacuated when they arrived and residents from 14 of the 16 units are displaced due to this fire and the American Red Cross and Sun Prairie School District are providing support.

The fire is still under investigation and we will update you once more information is received.

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) -- Several fire departments are on scene of a fire at an apartment complex in Sun Prairie.

The fire is at the Arlington Apartments on Schiller Court.
The call came in just after four this morning.

The Red Cross is also on scene and are bussing displaced residents with Madison metro to a local middle school.
