465 North Park is a 48-story, 444-unit apartment tower under construction at 465 N Park Dr in Streeterville. The building has nearly 12,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 181 resident-only parking spaces. The building is targeting LEED Silver certification.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the building was held in September of 2016. First occupancy is slated for the summer of 2018.
Jupiter Realty is the developer with Pappageorge Haymes as the architecture firm and Power Construction as the general contractor.
The apartments
The unit mix includes studios, convertibles, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, and nine two-story townhomes on the fourth and fifth floors.
Kitchens will feature high-end appliances and cabinetry, and all units will have walk-in closets and full-size washers and dryers. The top two penthouse floors will feature top-of-the-line kitchens.
Views. The building’s floor plate, based on angled ellipses, orients windows toward view corridors.
Many of the apartments will have stellar views of Lake Michigan, the Chicago River and the downtown skyline. The view above is from an adjacent building.
The building’s site fronts Ogden Plaza Park, optimizing views to the west.
Amenities, services, policies
465 North Park will have extensive amenities.
The sixth floor will have a fitness center with aerobic, weight, yoga, spinning and fitness-on-demand rooms, conference, game and party areas, a demonstration kitchen and lounge, and more intimate gathering spaces.
The sixty-floor’s 22,000-square-foot exterior deck will include a dog run, an outdoor pool with sunning and seating areas, cabanas, multiple green-spaces, fire pits, private kitchenettes, and TV-viewing areas.
Another amenity level on the 38th floor will feature a kitchen, private dining and lounge areas, along with an outdoor deck with multiple lounge seating areas, and fire pits.
The building will also have a large bike room with a repair station, a pet spa, resident storage, dry-cleaning service and 24-hour-access package pick-up.
465 North Park will be pet-friendly and smoke-free. The building will have on-site management, maintenance and leasing staff, and 24/7 door staff.
The location
465 North Park is in the southern part of Streeterville, just over a block from the Chicago River, midway between Michigan Avenue and Navy Pier.
Shopping. Treasure Island, which bills itself as “America’s most European supermarket,” is a few blocks northeast.
Whole Foods is a block north of the building.
A Walgreens Pharmacy is just north of the building.
Michigan Avenue’s Magnificent Mile shops begin 4 blocks northwest of the building.
Dining, nightlife, entertainment.
There are literally 100s of dining and nightlife options within a few blocks of 465 North Park.
If you’re a bowling or movie buff, you can head across the street to hit the lanes at Lucky Strike then head downstairs to catch a movie at AMC River East.
Parks, recreation. The building has good park access, beginning with good proximity to Millennium Park and the new Maggie Daley Park, which are about a half-mile south.
465 North Park is a few blocks from Navy Pier, Jane Addams Memorial Park, Ohio Street Beach and the 18-mile Lakefront Trail.

Transportation. Access to CTA and Metra train lines is inconvenient from 465 North Park.
CTA bus service, via multiple routes, is excellent along Michigan Ave, Illinois St (one-way East-bound) and Grand Ave (one-way West-bound). The #124 bus just outside the building on Columbus Dr connects to Navy Pier, Metra’s Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Station. The #66 bus travels to northbound CTA train lines, including the Blue Line to O’Hare airport. Many residents of 465 North Park are likely to opt for cabs or Uber, always plentiful in the area, as their preferred mode of public transit.
Zipcar car-sharing locations and DIVVY bike stations are nearby.
465 North Park has convenient access to and from Lake Shore Drive. Reaching I-90/94 and the rest of the city’s expressway grid can often be time-consuming. Expect near-gridlock conditions when there’s a major event in the neighborhood.
Chicago Water Taxi offers seasonal commuter service between Michigan Avenue and Madison Street, affording 465 North Park residents a pleasant, low-cost way to reach the Loop and the Willis Tower.
