‘Blindspot’ Season 2 Deleted Scene Shows Luke Mitchell’s Roman’s Darker Side [WATCH]
A deleted scene from “Blindspot” Season 2 was recently released online ahead of the official launch of “Blindspot: The Complete Second Season” DVD on Aug. 8.
In the short clip released exclusively by Entertainment Weekly, Roman (Luke Mitchell) and Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) are talking to each other outside a neighborhood store. Roman still doesn’t have any idea who he is and where he is from. He also doesn’t remember how he and Jane know each other. While the two characters are having a conversation, a bird falls from the trees and breaks its neck.

Jane walks towards the bird with concern in her eyes and voice. She tells Roman that the bird’s neck is broken, so it’s impossible for it to survive. Roman then leans in to have a closer look at the bird. He suddenly steps on the creature and kills it. Jane is shocked by Roman’s actions because even though he has no recollection about his past, it’s obvious that his darkness is still there.
In June, “Blindspot” creator Martin Gero confirmed that Roman will become the new big bad in Season 3. But even though Roman will be responsible for some of the dangers in the upcoming episode, he will continue to have an interesting relationship with Jane.
“It ended pretty badly between Jane and Roman. There is no love lost. He feels very betrayed that she essentially left him for the second time, choose someone else, so he’s pretty angry. But I think their relationship next year is super fascinating – and it’s been one of the highlights for me for Season 2. We’ve found a really, really interesting way to keep that going,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
Meanwhile, Jane’s relationship with Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) will also be explored in Season 3. According to TV Guide, the upcoming season will open with Jane and Weller seemingly cohabitating in the latter’s apartment. They have also grown much closer to each other. By the looks of it, the two characters will finally take their relationship to the next level.
“Blindspot” Season 3 will premiere on NBC on Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. EST.
