Man Found Dead In Upper East Side Apartment Building, Police Say

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are investigating the death of a man found unresponsive Friday morning in an Upper East Side building, police told Patch.

Officers arrived at 223 East 89th Street between Second and Third avenues shortly after 10:30 to discover a 43-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive, police said. The man was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS, police said.

The city Medical Examiner will investigate the man's exact cause of death, police said. The man's identify was not released by police.Photo by Patch
