PEARLAND, Texas – A two-alarm fire swept through a Pearland apartment building overnight Saturday, damaging all 16 units inside.

Fire crews from six different cities responded to the blaze around 2 a.m. Saturday at the Whispering Winds apartment complex in Pearland. Officials say the fire started in the center of the complex and quickly spread to all 16 units. They say 12 of those units have fire damage, and all of them have water and smoke damage.

Authorities say one person suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. American Red Cross is helping residents find temporary housing.
