Arrest made in homicide at Big Country Chateau apartments

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — 

Little Rock police have made an arrest in a homicide at Big Country Chateau apartments that occurred back in July.

19-year-old Jasper Singleton, also known as "Fugi," was arrested on an active murder warrant Wednesday.

He was wanted in the fatal shooting of 43-year-old Steven McPherson of North Little Rock.

Public Information Officer Steve Moore tells Channel 7 officers were sitting in their vehicle at a nearby convenience store when they heard the gunshots the night of the homicide.

Officers responded to the Big Country Chateau and were directed to an upstairs apartment.

That's where authorities found McPherson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
