Syracuse police identify man fatally shot at apartment

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Authorities identified the victim of the city's fourth homicide of the year Wednesday as Bobby Brown.

Brown, 40, of 406 Ivy Ridge Road, Syracuse, was discovered shot in his apartment Tuesday at about 4:50 p.m., Syracuse police said. Brown was rushed to Upstate University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police have released few details about the homicide, which occurred at the Ivy Ridge Apartments near the Syracuse University campus.
