Police investigate vandalism and theft at Meadowood Apartments | Crime and Courts

Upper Allen Township police are investigating reports Thursday of ongoing vandalism and thefts at Meadowood Apartments on Allendale Road.

Police say numerous signs and flowers have been damaged and graffiti was spray-painted on the side of one building. They add gas has been stolen from a resident's car in the same complex.

Police are asking anyone with information on suspicious activity in the area to contact them at 717-795-2445 or the anonymous tip line at 717-591-3790.

There’s a big demand for more affordable housing in Charlotte, where rents and home prices have shot up much faster than wages over the past few years. Many of the apartments being built now target more affluent renters, waitlists for housing vouchers are long and starter homes are snapped up almost immediately. So why aren’t developers building more affordable housing ?
