Autumn Woods Apartments offers resources for families | News

Autumn Woods Apartments have just undergone an extensive remodel project, the first of many changes brought upon since the complex was bought by Independent Management Services in late 2013.

The project, which took about a year to complete, includes new roofs, appliances and cabinets for all 100 units.

Autumn Woods now offers weekly events for residents, from workshops on resume building and home buying to a daily homework lab for students. The complex also has a library and community room, with a full kitchen available, as well as an exercise room where weekly fitness classes are held, for residents.

Legia Robinson, who was hired on as site manager in November 2015, is excited about what the changes can bring for Autumn Woods residents.

"I want to bring in the right people," she said. "Our criteria is getting tougher, (and) this has become a better place."

Autumn Woods offers on-site financial planning and parenting classes, and there are plans for a Resource Fair in the summer.

"I can see the potential for this building. We have an excellent staff," Robinson said. "We want more families to know that we are here and we can help. We want to be a stepping stone for people."

The complex currently has about 20 units available for move-in, most of which are 2- and 3-bedroom apartments. Lease duration is one year, and pets are not allowed.

Autumn Woods is an income-based apartment complex, located at 701 S. Filmore Ave. in Wagoner. For more information about Autumn Woods, contact office manager Brandi Reid at 918-485-5422.
