IT doesn’t look like Sydney’s favourite vet Dr Chris Brown and girlfriend Ken­dall Bora are quite ready to be penning their names on joint property acquisitions, despite pending engagement ­rumours.

Channel 9 TV producer Bora, who recently emerged as the popular vet’s other half, has bought her first Sydney apartment in the eastern suburbs.

She’s paid $675,000 for a ­35sqm one-bedroom apartment in Woollahra’s Piccadilly Gardens complex.

Meanwhile, the television vet’s own portfolio naturally includes a house in nearby Bondi.

He grabbed the four-bedroom home in 2010 at $1.92 million, two years after he began Bondi Vet, the Ten show that shadowed him at work at a clinic in Bondi Junction.

Bora and Brown have been dating for around 18 months, going back beyond their public romantic rendezvous on the jungle set of Network Ten’s I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!

Renovated throughout, the stylish one-bedroom Woollahra apartment was recently leased out as an investment for $590 a week throughRaphael Raso at Stefan Property Willoughby, reflecting a 4.5 per cent yield.

McGrath estate agent Chris Volpatti sold the apartment pre-auction after having $580,000 hopes.

Brown, who has now departed the Bondi Vet show, grew up around animals in his four-acre “backyard” in ­Newcastle, and broke onto the television vet scene in 2003, when he starred on Harry’s Practice, nominated for a Logie for Most Popular New Talent.

Brown went on to Channel 9’s Burke’s Backyard before starring on Bondi Vet.

He stayed with Network Ten to host lifestyle show The Living Room.

On the show he admitted he was keen to settle down and have kids, previously suggesting that he is simply waiting for the planets to align. In 2015 he began co-hosting the smash hit I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! with Julia Morris.

There’s a big demand for more affordable housing in Charlotte, where rents and home prices have shot up much faster than wages over the past few years. Many of the apartments being built now target more affluent renters, waitlists for housing vouchers are long and starter homes are snapped up almost immediately.
