Man arrested in Craigslist rental scam

SAN DIEGO – A man with a history of responding to Craigslist users looking to rent an apartment was arrested Thursday for multiple theft offenses, according to San Diego police.

Anthony Joseph Green claimed he would rent a furnished apartment for a low price, but said he required a financial deposit before he deploys. He siaid he works as a U.S. Navy helicopter rescue swimmer.

Six people have been identified as victims of his thefts.

Anyone who believes they were a victim of a crime involving Green is asked to contact San Diego police at 619-531-2000, SDPD Acting Detective Sarah Calvert at 619-692-4800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.

“Blacklist” star Megan Boone lists West Village apartment for $2.4M

It overlooks tiny Abingdon Square Park, and has a large fireplace, soundproof windows, high ceilings, a walk-in closet and access to the communal landscaped roof terrace . Charlotte affordable housing forum raises possible solutions

There’s a big demand for more affordable housing in Charlotte, where rents and home prices have shot up much faster than wages over the past few years. Many of the apartments being built now target more affluent renters, waitlists for housing vouchers are long and starter homes are snapped up almost immediately.
