Nice location with many amenities. Waited close to 20 minutes for someone to come into the office to give us a tour. Buildings are outdated, the location is the main factor that drives up the price.

Overall, Runaway Bay is a decent place to live. Outside of a few qualms, we enjoyed our stay there, but mostly because we had a prime location and view. Being close to the lake and waking up to it every morning is wonderful. A con? It's definitely overpriced. If they didn't raise the price at our lease renewal, we probably would have stayed. The in-unit washer and dryers work great. Maintenance was also prompt and quick. Semi incompetent but they try. The people who live here tend to be a mix of students, grad students, recent-grads and young professionals. Unfortunately one of my two biggest cons (that can't really be controlled) is that the people here (and those who are ALWAYS crowding the pool and the lake) are VERY fratty and bro-y. It's frat/sorority/basic girl central. They trash the pool and lake area, and no one picks up their dog poop anywhere. If you can by pass all that, and just enjoy a nice quiet apartment tucked in the back, you'll be fine. Where your apartment is located will have a huge impact on your way of life here, so keep that in mind. Lastly, everyone in the leasing office (except for AJ) is incredibly incompetent. Hands down, while some were very nice (not all), the incompetence of their staff is astounding. So if you can get over the frat bros and the incompetent staff and find a place in the back and pay too much, you'll be golden at Runaway Bay.

I had a bad experience with another complex and the staff at Runaway Bay helped me to find the prefect apartment at the right price. I was fortunate to have Austin and Nicole help me out in the process of signing a lease. They were wonderful and were always on top of everything. I got approved and signed the lease in one day. They were amazing! This place is great! I would defenitely recommend it to a friend!

I've lived here for about 5 months and my fiance and i love it. The location is great its about $7 to uber downtown. I've had good experiences in the 2 small maintenance requests i've had. The only negatives that I can think of are the size of the gym because of the age of the average resident the gym gets pretty busy and you also have to pay a $50 gym fee when you move in but there's only 2 treadmills. The actual equipment is really nice there's just not enough for the amount of residents. The other negative is the carpet, for me it's the one thing that separates these apartments from the luxury ones, ours was very worn on move in and should've been replaced. Other than that I love the neighborhood, the amenities like the dog park and kayak storage are awesome, I haven't used the pool yet but it seems nice. As of right now we are planning to renew our lease.

We've been living in Runaway Bay Apartment for 2 years; whi…le the previous management were difficult to deal with, the current management is great. The property provides great amenities such as a swimming pool, a gym, a tennis court, a volleyball court, pet park, and lots of parking spaces (including shaded and garages). What we like the most is the lake, where we can swim, fish, kayak, paddle-board and host gatherings. Great Location Full of Outdoors Activities

I had my car broken into last night at Runaway bay. But on the bright side one of the maintenance men, Jared helped me clean up all the glass and vacuumed all the glass out of my car. He helped me so much and it was refreshing to know that the maintenance staff had my back when I needed the help. So I'm giving five stars for the maintenance crew!

I love living at Runaway Bay. We just received our renewal and will be re-signing. I have lived in 3 other apartment complex's in Columbus and Runaway Bay is by far the best one. Any maintenance issue we have, all minor - toilet handle breaking, was fixed next day. Liz was more than helpful on our move in and is always available ! The other leasing office workers are great too ! The location is perfect - $10 uber downtown, $5 uber to anywhere in Grandview. Yes, the building is older but the complex is clean, the units are renovated, and for the price - you can't beat it.

Best ever property I have ever lived in...from the way they treat me as a 14 year veteran, to the onsite Dog parks, the Docks with a fire pit, Pool and Gym...to the Area it is in, to Its safe area to live in, absolutely amazing all of it. The management staff are some of the most outstanding people I know, great thanks and appreciation to them all.

I have delt with and will only deal with AJ there. Any time that I have a question or a concer she is on the ball with the solution. She doesnt just give a quick comment back to say she emailed me back, she replies to my email AND THEN emails me again with the situation update or answer that she was able to find. If AJ is not there then neither am I. My interaction with the rest of the staff has been awesome as well but AJ is my point of contact because she remembers all my information and don't have to tell it everytime

Apartment is cozy. Maintenance is very timely and professional. Great location. Staff are very friendly and AJ has been more than helpful answering all my questions. Overall, comfortable place to live.
