GILBERT, Ariz. - Some residents who had been evacuated near a major fire in the Phoenix suburb of Gilbert returned home early Sunday . About 60 people were evacuated from the area, according to Diana Rodriguez, a public information officer for the American Red Cross . NORFOLK The housing market may be struggling, but apartment construction in Norfolk continues to boom. The City Council is expected to approve a rezoning today that will allow a 180-unit, $20. 7 million upscale apartment development called the Meadowood Apartments to be constructed off North Military Highway . It would be the seventh apartment complex that opened, received city approval or on which construction began in the past year. Moreover, two other apartment complexes have been proposed. In the summer of 1995, Doug Robb and his friends snuck into Agoura High School in the middle of the night. Dressed in all black, they found the set of portable stages their alma mater used for its commencement ceremonies and wheeled them through a dirt track and onto the beds of pickup trucks they’d borrowed for the occasion.
