CBRE SL Green sells suburban office property for $97M SL Green and TH Real Estate have sold Stamford Towers in Stamford, CT for $97 million. Jeffrey Dunne, David Gavin and Travis Langer of CBRE’s Institutional Properties represented the sellers. CBRE Global Investors purchased the Property. Stamford Towers is comprised of two adjacent Class A office buildings located in the Stamford CBD, one block from the Stamford Transportation Center . The property is also near the 722,000 s/f Stamford Town Center Mall (anchored by Macy’s, Barnes & Noble, H&M, and Saks Off 5th) as well as dozens of restaurants and retails options. Maybe you used your summer vacation to relax with a nonalcoholic drink in your hand on a warm sunny beach . But back in Blacksburg, construction workers did not have that luxury. While you were sipping pina coladas and getting caught in the rain, they were working on major renovations across campus, from the Upper Quad to Sandy Hall. Demolition started in June on Thomas and Monteith halls, two aging Corps of Cadets residence halls on the Upper Quad. Several years ago, they complemented Brodie and Rasche halls to house the Corps. Brodie and Rasche were razed June 2015 and November 2013, respectively. Since then, the aging brick buildings have been replaced by two new, Hokie Stone- clad residence halls . Pearson Hall opened in November 2015 after significant construction delays , contributing to a housing crunch on campus.
