Police: 2 men found in Intracoastal Canal identified, both have

UPDATE: The identity of the two deceased men discovered in the Intracoastal Canal on Monday August 7, 2017 has been positively confirmed. Sylvester Henry Bracey , 27, of Jackson MS body was discovered first, followed by Arsenio Montrell Haynes , 27, also of Jackson MS. Both men have extensive criminal histories . No additional information relating or pertaining to the case is available. ORIGINAL: West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff Mike Cazes held a press conference Tuesday afternoon to announce new information regarding two men who were found dead Monday afternoon in the Intracoastal Canal. Sheriff Cazes said that the two men were originally being pursued by Iberville Parish deputies after they sped past a portion of I-10 that was blocked due to an overturned trailer.
