SOUTH HAVEN TOWNSHIP , Mich. (WOOD) — A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital following a crash near South Haven Monday . It happened around 5 p.m. on M-43 near the Park Meadows Apartments in South Haven Township , according to a South Haven Police Department news release . Police said the motorcyclist was heading east in the westbound lane of M-43 at the time of the crash. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with injuries to his head. The 67-year-old Bangor man was not wearing helmet, the release said. The driver of the SUV and passenger were not injured. The crash remains under investigation. Ambulance SOUTH HAVEN, MICH. - A motorcycle rider is being treated at a local hospital after crashing into a small SUV on Monday, August 14 just before 5 p.m. According to South Haven Police , the motorcyclist was riding east in the westbound lane.  The crash happened in South Haven Township near Park Meadows apartments on M43. The 67-year-old motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet, and there were injuries to his head. The 436-unit complex will lease for $1.49 a square foot when it opens in 2018, said Kim McCaslin, vice president of MR Development. Pre-leasing will start by the end of 2017. The City Council unanimously approved the detailed site plan for the project at its Monday meeting. The apartments are proposed on Harmon and Lowe roads. Only 36 percent of the units will be two bedrooms. The remainder will be one bedroom. No three-bedroom units are proposed. McCaslin said they wanted to offer new amenities at this complex that they don’t offer at the Villagio Apartments on Debbie Lane.
