7-month-old baby falls unconscious and dies while mom breastfed
A 7-month-old baby fell unconscious while his teen mother was feeding him in Brooklyn Thursday and died at a local hospital, police said.
Jayden Virgile became unresponsive in his family’s apartment on E. 93rd St. and Avenue J in Canarsie.
His mother, Saint Virgile, 18, immediately called 911. Little Jayden was taken to Brookdale University Hospital but he could not be saved.
Cops are investigating whether the baby suffered a choking spell or had a heart attack, police said. The child had no visible signs of trauma.
