One of the most watched recent murder cases in the Philadelphia area in years wound to a close on Wednesday with David "DJ" Creato, 23, admitting to killing his three-year-old son, Brendan, in October 2015. He pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in the case after a 10-day trial on a first- degree murder charge ended in a hung jury and mistrial in May. CHICAGO -- At least 33 people were wounded, 6 fatally, within 13 hours from Saturday to Sunday across the city in separate shootings, which includes an attack in the West Pullman neighborhood that left one man dead and wounded six other people. In the West Pullman neighborhood on the city's Far South Side, a man was killed and six other people were wounded in a single attack about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of a banquet hall used as a nightclub, police said. They were all in a large parking lot in the 11900 block of South Loomis Street when a man inside a black SUV opened fire at the crowd, police said. The shooter then drove off. A man, whose age and identity was not yet known, was pronounced dead at the scene. A white sheet covered the man's body on the pavement near the entrance of the hall's door. Two arrested after newborn found alive where pregnant Fargo woman vanished

The discovery of the infant, Fargo police said, was followed by the arrest of Brooke Lynn Crews , 38, and William Henry Hoehn , 32, who both lived in the same apartment building as the missing woman , Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind. Crews and Hoehn were arrested and charged with felony conspiracy to commit kidnapping, police said in a Facebook post. They were being held at the Cass County Jail . LaFontaine-Greywind went missing from the apartment building Saturday afternoon . Her whereabouts remained unknown late Thursday , police said. At least six investigators were seen donning hazmat suits Thursday night outside the apartment building at 2825 9th St. N., where LaFontaine-Greywind lives with her parents in a basement unit. One investigator with a shovel was seen walking to the back of the building. On Friday morning, Fargo Police confirmed they had cleared the crime scene.
