The Future of Target Stores Looks Like This One in Downtown Minneapolis

Have you noticed local Targets undergoing renovations recently ? The retailer is in the midst of redesigning a number of its existing stores, and if yours has yet to be refreshed, here's a look at what's on the horizon. Target recently revealed the makeover of their downtown Minneapolis location , and it's an example of their redesigned store concept , announced back in March. It's one of 45 remodels completed so far in 2017, with 65 more stores to be renovated through the fall. "By the end of 2019, more than one-third of our stores will be reimagined—part of our $7+ billion investment to become an even better, more modern Target," the company writes on their blog. Here's a look inside the Minneapolis store and what could be coming to a Target near you: (Image credit: Target) The grocery section was moved to the front of the store, "so time-strapped guests can quickly check off their grocery lists." How A Property Manager Boosted Its Online Reputation |

Lincoln Property Company , a national home and business real estate firm with 500 communities within its network, has seen the  traditional apartment search process go from word-of-mouth to mostly being driven by online reviews and social media. In other words, real estate has a lot in common with restaurants — and pretty much every business — in driving new customers. The real estate service company was struggling to manage all the customer reviews of its multi- family housing . As a result, its search rankings were slipping. Lincoln Property first tapped a reputation management company in 2012. While things improved, its strategy nevertheless suffered from a gap when it came to social media listening/responding and online presence management . Last year, Lincoln Property turned to Chatmeter, an online presence and reviews management platform . In a matter of weeks, Lincoln Property’s total review quantity rose 71 percent with a 277 percent increase in the number of reviews po...

7 Things to Know About Having Small Dogs

Image
Growing up, I was a card-carrying lover of large canines. My 100- pound Terrier mix was great to go running with — and according to my parents, “ way more dog-like” than small dogs like Toy Poodles. But as I grew older, I realized that daily strolls and stressful vet visits with huskier hounds get somewhat exhausting. I also realized that streamlined, fuel- efficient cars weren ’t necessarily optimized for, say, Great Danes. So over the years I’ve parented, fostered, and absolutely adored a succession of progressively smaller dogs . Small-breed dogs are perfectly comfortable in condos and apartments, they don’t dominate the furniture and they’re easier to lift and carry in the event of illness or injury. One thing I’ve noticed, however, is that little dogs come with their own set of tricky tribulations: Cute Shih Tzu puppy on a couch." width="600" height="397" /> Cute Shih Tzu puppy . The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase. Brooklinen Moving is a stressful experience no matter how you slice it, and taking on the job of finding and outfitting your first apartment as an adult is even more so. Your first apartment is a perfect storm: an intersection of many needs and low resources. Chances are high that your college roommate might have bought the kitchen utensils ... or the vacuum... or the pots and pans...  and now you’re trying to furnish an entire apartment on your own with less money than it seems the job will demand. The few purchases you do make will need to last you longer than the cheap, seasonal models you bought in college so you’re not in the same spot, dumping more money into a dresser next year. You’ll likely want nicer belongings than plastic storage bins for all of your clothes as an adult now, anyway. Since it's unlikely y...
