Nearly 200 residents at Mirabella apartment complex without water

PHOENIX - Nearly 200 residents at the Mirabella Apartment complex in Phoenix have been without water for days. That is until late Thursday night when Phoenix Fire Department spokesperson Benjamin Santillan told ABC15 the city agreed to turn the water back on for a week. The water company says the complex near the I-17 and Camelback owes them about $50,000 dollars, and until the bill is paid, the residents are stuck in the middle. "I think this is crazy. Everyone is very emotional, we don't know when this will end or if we'll have to go without water every day," said Crystal Medina who called ABC15 for help. When our crews arrived they found some fed up residents standing outside. They've been dealing with no water for two days. "It's terrible. Two arrested after newborn found alive where pregnant Fargo woman vanished

The discovery of the infant, Fargo police said, was followed by the arrest of Brooke Lynn Crews , 38, and William Henry Hoehn , 32, who both lived in the same apartment building as the missing woman , Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind. Crews and Hoehn were arrested and charged with felony conspiracy to commit kidnapping, police said in a Facebook post. They were being held at the Cass County Jail . LaFontaine-Greywind went missing from the apartment building Saturday afternoon . Her whereabouts remained unknown late Thursday , police said. At least six investigators were seen donning hazmat suits Thursday night outside the apartment building at 2825 9th St. N., where LaFontaine-Greywind lives with her parents in a basement unit. Bail hearing set for man arrested after standoff with Fredericton police - New Brunswick

A Fredericton man, who was arrested after he barricaded himself in a downtown apartment building for seven hours on Thursday evening, appeared in court on Friday. The man, who is in his late 30s, was brought into Fredericton Provincial Court  for a breach of an undertaking from June 9. He appeared before Judge Julian Dickson in a grey, hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants. There was no comment on the nature of his charges, but both the Crown and the defence rejected the man's release from custody. A bail hearing was set for Aug. 22 at 1:30 p.m. in Fredericton. Standoff on Aberdeen Street Police used tear gas to get the man out of the building on the 200 block of Aberdeen Street, late Thursday night . About 12 to 15 police officers responded to the standoff, which began at about 6 p.m. Sgt. Shooting victim in Little Rock named teen gunman before dying, affidavit says

A North Little Rock man fatally shot at a Little Rock apartment complex last month identified his killer in a "dying declaration" to detectives, according to a court affidavit released Thursday . Steven McPherson, 43, reportedly identified Jasper Lamar Singleton in a police photo lineup before he died from his injuries at UAMS Medical Center on July 27. McPherson was shot multiple times in his chest at Big Country Chateau Apartments that night. Authorities searched for Singleton, 19, for weeks before U.S. marshals found and arrested him Wednesday at Rodeway Inn & Suites at 2401 W. 65th St., according to an arrest report. Singleton, who is nicknamed "Fugi," was charged with first-degree murder. He pleaded innocent in the case Thursday morning in Little Rock District Court . BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — The Latest on the Spain attacks (all times local): 5:15 a.m. Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has asked people to pray for a young Australian boy who is missing after a vehicle attack on a popular Barcelona promenade that killed 13 people. Turnbull said Saturday that the boy's mother was badly injured and is in a hospital following Friday's attack at the Las Ramblas promenade . Turnbull says the boy's family is searching for him. He did not release the boy's name. Turnbull says: "All of us as parents know the anguish his father is going through, and his whole family is going through, as they rush to seek to find him in Barcelona."
