SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - A man is behind bars Friday morning after police found him in a car stolen during a violent home- invasion robbery in Valencia Park, but another man and woman in that car were able to escape.  The robbery and assault early Thursday morning left the victim pistol-whipped and beaten unconscious, apparently by a group of masked men looking for the victim's stepson. The group was armed with a gun, baseball bat and golf clubs. They left the victim's home in his wife's Lexus sedan.  Police spotted that car later in the day and gave chase, but two of the three people inside were able to escape. A known Oklahoma gang member is accused of killing a man at a birthday pool party in June. On Monday, Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn filed a second- degree murder charge against known gang affiliate , 21-year-old De Abray Amonda Reese , of Oklahoma City. According to an Oklahoma City police affidavit , at about 9:20 p.m. June 13 officers responded to a report of multiple gunshots at the Brookwood Village Apartments , 9401 S. Shartel Ave. near the office swimming pool . Once on scene, officers found Steven Morgan Jr . lying inside the swimming pool area . Morgan was transported to OU Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries on June 15, two days after the shooting. Detectives interviewed witnesses that said Reese, who witnesses referred to as “Osama King,” was at the party, and was seen shooting a gun. SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake man pleaded guilty Monday to killing a man in a violent home invasion and robbery. Landon Kavani Johnson , 20, admitted to killing 18-year-old Eric Padilla when he attempted to rob the man on Sept. 17. In a deal with prosecutors, additional charges against Johnson were dismissed, including aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary, first-degree felonies; and obstructing justice, a second-degree felony. According to police, Padilla and two others were in the bedroom of an apartment at Sky Harbor Apartments , 221 N. Sun Harbor Terrace , playing video games when there was a knock at the door. Padilla did not live at the apartment, and someone else answered the door. When the door opened, Johnson entered and grabbed the man who had opened the door by the neck, pointing a large silver revolver at him, charging documents state , telling the man, "Give me everything you got."
